Resources: Etching
- Limor's Homepage –
Info about all things to do with making circuits. Limor is a genius in this area
and has many cool projects online. Click on "Make" to access info about etching circuits.
Resources: Etching Supplies and Recipes
- Peroxy-Sulfuric Etching –
I really hate ferric chloride. Now there are options. This place offers recipes for making
the PS etchant, as well as the
stabilizer
that prevents the stuff from going wild.
Don't even think about putting this stuff in a spray machine.
- VPC Inc. –
These guys (actually... it's one guy...) is the place to get dry ferric chloride, developer,
and presensitized (ie, with organic resist layer). They don't have a website that lists anything.
I do have their catalog, so I might scan it at some point.
Resources: Having It Made
- Basic guidelines for making gerber files from Eagle
- 4PCB (Advanced Circuits) –
The so-far-best place to get boards done. When you get in over your head,
talk to Linda or Travis (ask the operator). They're very nice people.
- FreeDFM –
Get a free design rule check using the real target CAD software. These guys rock.
Use the. Connects direct to 4pcb with quotes, but call Linda or Travis with your
order # once you have it. Ask for any discounts, and remember to mention that we
play students on TV.
